I originally converted a 6 ft/lb match gun for FT use about 18 month ago.
The silver port was originaly fitted to 6 ft/lb match guns. In order to get 12 ft/lb with this port, by turning up the spring pre load, there is a lot of air wasted. This reduces the shot count down to as low as 60 with a loud blat on firing from the wasted air. The silver port is now fitted at the factory to conform to UK requirements that the gun cannot be adjusted over 12 ft/lb. In fact about 11.2 is the maximum with this port.

Drilling out the silver port to 4mm wil allow 12 ft/lb to be achieved with good air efficency, up to 120 shots per charge. The port is plastic and easily drilled with care.
