The whole lot, Chrono's, batteries etc. need to be in a flight case for transport & storage, not thrown into a cardboard box in the boot, which I believe I have seen.
This standard practice for transporting sensitive scientific equipment, to keep it working correctly.
There is nothing impossible to those who will try!
