As per John's comment further down the thread, the big worry is everyone who fancies himself as a gunsmith/gun tuner wizard has had a go at PT's. I've seen carbine-ed, re barrelled, re regged, modded, tuned etc etc. The prices on sites like this are high, anything upto £600 (I saw one last week on a forum for over £400 and it didn't even have a filler in the end of the tube!!) If like me you have no workshop facilities or skills and you get a PT that been modded by a muppet then it could cost you another £200 -£300 to sort out, suddenly making it not a cheap option anymore, thats why people will buy an AR20, good out of the box, guarantee and no shocks or suprises.
