Speaking personally, what makes this sport is the trajectory and the wind drift.
Assuming smaller kills are used these would be positioned at closer range almost eliminating wind. Its really over 45 yards where the wind can move the pellet and thats what is enjoyable.
I wouldnt have called Weston a few weeks back on day two very windy about half of GP9 2009.

Cant see any reason why 1" kills and discipline shots cant go out to 55 yards.
Bearing in mind most courses are set the day or so before and almost a certainty the conditions will be drastically different.
