If the league shoots are too easy then I agree. I heard once about a league series (nowhere near here) that had some 18 yard freestyle full size kill targets on the course. How many missed them??
Personally i think league shoots should be easier than Gp. After all, if you put new shopoters off at the 1st local hurdle its hardly surprising they drop out of Ft after a short period, so 18 yard full kills are put out for new/ c class shooters, not A class in our rounds.
Gp should be harder as they are national comps. However, leaving the regional league shoot scores in "can" totally messes up Bfta / Gp average scores.
So far this year, after a switch of pellet, by 5 Gp score I think would have put me in AA. Yet over the 5shoots, my % (Think i started 2010 on 72%) is creeping up only slowly due to earlier other lower local shoots.
Now, coming to the local shoots, I want to use my back up gun, which I suspect/ expect to score lower with. Sometimes, the shoots disharten me and I dont really try. Iether or both over the summer /winter will drop my Bfta score back down come April 2011. As Pete dutton pointed out, this leaves people shooting in lower grades than they should be in?
