In my personal case, and I may be alone in this I don't know, I don't shoot the GP series except the home one but I do look forward to taking part in events at Curridge which I can get to with not so much difficulty.

Without my regional scores, the basis for my BFTA grade would be just one or two shoots a year, or maybe three. I had this problem a few years ago when SWEFTA hosted a GP at South Dorset and I was called a ringer for having beaten an AA grader in our trio, when I was a lowly B grade minion. I'm quite happy that my regional scores count towards a national grade, as I know that our regional comps are as testing as a GP even if they are shorter, so the results are valid for comparison purposes.
