For a novice shooter looking at an full blown FT rig, irrespective of cost, it looks a long way off a 3-9x40 and an s400 et al.
I see, that i presume is because the majority of Hft shooters (have only been to one national Hft comp at Quarry and it looked like an Ft event equipment wise, only with lots of lying about on the floor) are using something along the s400 + 4-12 /small size scope, as apposed to the Terminator's Walther + space shutlle size Ft scope.
Whats needed though, is to then get the "new " ft shooter onto an local course that he can compete on. Thus proving that you dont need the big guns + scopes at local level, if the course is set right and not just thrown out?
Surley all national events are fuelled from lcoal level?? To me, Ft is struggling locally more than it should? Perhaps thats a region by region thing?
