In the meantime I think there's a few to work with here...
Leupold Mk4 10x40 (ER 86mm)
Leupold MK4 2.5-8x36 (ER 76 - 94mm)
Leupold EFR 3-9x33 (ER 76-102mm)
Burris 3-9x40 (ER 78-95mm)
Bushnell 3200 10x40 (ER 83mm)
Now the tricky bit... i'd like to know the eye reliefs for the below...! (i've found some already) (perhaps a mate can measure the distance from eye to scope?)
EB Sniper 10x42
Falcon Menace 10x42
MTC Viper 3-12x44
Tim, I don't suppose you have the results to hand do you? I just want to see if there's a correlation between PA error and eye relief.
All good scopes Rob I own three of your choices, Do not get hung up on eye relief, the p/a error is more to do with exit pupil and HFT shooters move the eye relief to get a black ring around the sight picture ( i.e not at the optimum eye relief) to use as an aid to cut down on p/a error.
I'd go for the MK4 2.5-8 with a mildot and illuminated ret.
Part one of my HFT scope test series will be in Target Shooter magazine next month followed by three more parts the forth has never been published and includes the Falcon and MKIV. Happy reading.
