If you ever have to remove the stabiliser, swap the springs over for the the spring strip. It makes it much easier to then work on in future.
If you do fit the spring, make sure you pre-curl it to a similar diameter as the stabiliser. If you leave it straight, it puts too much preload on the white collar and the stabiliser often fails to activate as the puff of air is insufficient to overcome the load on the collar.
