Those of you basking in that Northern sunshine over the last few days may well have been too busy swilling lager and barbecuing to have ventured indoors to see the news regarding the torrential rain storms that have caused havoc in the South East. Fortunately Buxted was in the centre of it all. Consequently everything here is currently moist. However the next few days weather is looking good so parking will be as usual for the National that is entrance through Pound Lane and exit via Barn Lane. This means your car will always be going downhill in the field. The bottom gateway has a chalk base so although it may on the day have a top skim of slime it is solid underneath so slowly does it and it will be fine even for all those with rear wheel drive. Anyone not wishing to park in the field feel free to park sensibly on hard stand around the farm just don't block anyone in and be mindful that big machinery is often on the move. Avoid parking near stables. Usual visitors its the top entrance not the usual bottom one you should be going downhill when you enter the farm not on the flat in the valley bottom.
See you Sunday we have plenty of tractors if anyone does get stuck.
