A little range-finding tip, if you have the mil-hash reticle in the March, sit down and work out your 55yd setting using only bracketing. Probably easiest to go from top of kill to top of hinge and zoom to bracket or keep on x50 and just use the lines, doesn't matter.
Use this to work out if your scope is over or under ranging while you're actually shooting as this distance is a constant not dependant on temperature, light or any other scope variable.

Once you know that you're out by a couple of yards you can do something about it. Using this method is quick, fool-proof and above all guaranteed not to tick people off...
