I'd say there's too much in common with the scopes to say that mounts which maybe different are the cause. If you check out my thread on the march you'll see there's quite a few who agree. I suppose they could all have AJP rails and Sportsmatch ATP 65s on Steyrs but it's unlikely. If it was them then it would mean changing scopes should yield little difference and that a scope removed from its fun should behave different.
So simple test, take scope off gun and change its temp and see if that changes anything.
