This comes up now and again,i agree different materials expand / contrat to each other thats why once i suggested to clamp a scope on one scope mount and leave the other as a guide and see what happens, think people i'm a idiot.
Reasoning;- if you heat a piece of metal/aluminium it expands lengthways, stop that expasion lengthways ie scope mounts the expansion can only go up or down between those 2 points slightly pushing aim points out.
If someone tries it and it works and makes mounts i want, not greedy say 5% of profits for thinking up the idea.
