I greatly respect the air rifle fraternity continuing to self police the compeition circuit, it brings credibility and consistency to the results.

The challenge is how to test rifles in the field, rather than in a controlled environment.

The competition shooters should support the organisers to make sure that their rifles dont hover close to the edge, if they want to consistently sail close to the wind then there should be no complaints.

We all know of someone who has not passed the chrono in a comp, and for me i know that the person was the most surprised and disappointed that it failed, but as we know, air rifles can be temperamental, all we can do is regularly check them, with the best equipment we can afford.
