Everyone just got on with the shooting, recorded their fps then carried on, no fuss, no bother, just part of the competition.
This is how every comp. should be and would deter the space cadets running hot rifles.
Agreed...i do find it odd that we try using a single chrono. To remove any variation why not use 3 different chrono's, a pellet through each and take the mean value? or at least 2 of the 3 readings. For example if the 3 readings are 793, 790 and 802 then the shooter carries on but if 2 of the 3 readings are over then they are gone. We all know some chrono's suffer with light conditions and the position of the barrel but using multiple chrono's 'should'
remove the concerns of the shooter and negate most arguements.
