No. I had been testing many S&B scopes for temperature shift, and did the same thorough test with a 1st FP version, too. Rangefinding is the very same, also the temp shift.

The only difference is that the crosshair grows together with the image when you set the magnification higher, and it will be very thick at 50x mag (can nearly cover a pellet mark at 50 m) and this makes rangefinding a bit hardeer, compared to a fine crosshair.
