I assume Neil means will the use of depth of field on the sidewheel be appreciably different? No idea apart from the fact that the S&B FT scopes were available in 1st and 2nd focal plane which would indicate they would work the same way.

Interesting vaguely related question I've just thought of and don't have an answer to, is would having the ret in the same focal plane as the target mean the ret would also move in and out of focus?
