I've just put a new Hawke Vantage on my Gamo Coyote using Hawke medium two piece mounts (6-24x44 SF) thinking it would take 10 minutes max to zero at 35 yards I proceeded to zero, starting off close at approx 15 yards, couldn't even get it to hit the paper, long story short...it's shooting really low, to the extent I have run out of elevation adjustment, so it won't even zero at 35 yards.
I've not had this problem with my other Hawke scope, nor indeed with my £28 Chinese generic 6-24.
Does it look like there could be an issue with this particular scope ?
Also this scope has smaller mil dots than I'm used to, would/should they be the same dots at the same ranges with both sizes of dots ? Thanks in anticipation.
