Re-Parrallax the Comp x45 for your eyes and there is no real better range finding scope out there for the money.
X45 better than x40 or 35, but both of them when set up can be very good.
No real problem with the thin cross hair in dark woods.
Neither of mine suffered with heat to about 30 degrees which is about the hottest it ever has got here when shooting.
5 degrees or colder and it under ranges by 2.5m at top end.
