Just dial what scope says regardless of actual range, job done. Whether that's -8 yards in the heat or over ranges 4 yards below 5/6 degrees I couldn't care less.
I think one of us (and it may well be me!) doesn't grasp what the effect of temp shift is ref. PA focus calibration...
If the wheel says xx but, reality is xx -8 yards then dialing for xx is not likely to yield the desired result!
But, if it works for you that's great.
