I don't think there are any HFT shooters in the thread discussing HFT rules ( OP is fairly new and shoots both ). So I think HFT will consider itself fine.

FT shooters and ex FT shooters have won the HFT Nationals and Worlds on numerous occasions. One of them is one of a two man team who run UKAHFT and make the rules and he's the 2015 National Champ. I think it's safe to say that FT, in some way, will have had an influence on HFT.
It's ok just thinking back to all those threads years ago that got silly.
At the end of the day it's all just shooting popguns at tin chickens in the woods.
