Not actually correct...
Ye olde cannons were smooth only, NO twist.
Smooth twist is a modern concept to reduce manufacturing cost but at the expense of accuracy.
Put a good quality full twist barrel on a smooth twist rifle and I am certain it will always prove to be more accurate.
