Some interesting views on this post. Is it allowable to use different depths of knee pad (bits of cushion or whatever) to suit different shots? When I had a standard TX 200 stock was told by someone, who I thought knew the rules, that I could not use a small piece of polystyrene to elevate the stock for range finding even though the polystyrene was attached to the gun sling. Are there any rules of what can be used to elevate the stock? I'm interested because I shoot a springer better with the gun lower but range better with the scope high.
