Here an idea, what's your thoughts on pro's & cons?
National Introductory Hunter Field Target & Field Target weekend
The basis of the idea:
choose a weekend in 2016 (which does not clash with any National or Regional comps - could be difficult finding a spare weekend I know)
Every HFT & FT club sets that weekend aside to set out a visitors/introductory shoot, with plinking and basic course.
Club members are encouraged to invite and bring visitors, provide equipment etc
Announced on all the Forums, gun shops, other target clubs, shooting magazines etc for visitors to come and give the sport a try
Could coincide with 'National shooting week' which is run by http://www.bssc.org.uk/aims/promoting-the-sport/
and is normally late spring
encourage more people of all ages to the sport, especially those that have thought about it but never stepped over the line
follows the adage 'we are more powerful together than alone' which will help to give the sport a national focus
feedback appreciated and if supported ideas on how it can be brought together and made to happen?
