Default Course setting tutor

I started In the world of FT at Harriers Ftc under the guidance of Tony Cook. I very quickly got fully involved with the club ,helping setting courses and packing away the targets at the end of the shoot. This to me is what membership of a club should be like, I'm a giver not a taker.
Tony had a formula for setting out a good club course of short medium and long , it worked very well .
I may still have a newbie attitude but I think a few gimme targets on a course does not take too much from the shoot. More often than not a sub 35 yd target is a 25 mm and when reduced targets are placed at their max I think it lacks imagination.
About as much use at field target , as a life guard at the Olympic swimming pool.
