Currently its a black (Big Nikko) which I'm sure doesnt help for the heat.
I've noticed as it gets really hot, long ranges 45m+, read more difficult.
I fitted some silver reflective film to my Leup comp a few years ago, I'm not really sure how much difference it makes in the UK but it might help over in SA.
The film I use is designed for the inside of car windows to create a tint, they do it in black, grey & silver, you have to be fairly careful fitting it but if you make a mistake it just peels straight off.
