I'd agree on the Bushy 4200 8-32x40, but Bushnell have discontinued it in favour of their new Elite 4500 8-32x40 which is an unknown quantity at the moment. If you find a 4200 on the 2nd hand market grab it!

Also, Burris 8-32 RA - again, if you can find it. Or Premier Ret Leupy VXIII 14.5-35 or 18-40. All of these are fairly light scopes and have been proven as scopes of choice when springers were more prevalent.
