Sounds like you've got it adjusted wrong. Stop trying to get it so precise, get a base setting and work from there. Remember you've not been shooting long, this is part of your learning curve. When you've got it adjusted right you'll find that for each position ie standing, kneeling, and off the bag, it will need lowering or moving higher. If you find that you don't need to do this, ie one setting suits all position's, then you've got it wrong. Learn from your mistakes and persivir with it and read your book.
