I've always thought it unsporting if you shoot round with someone and they destroy their card because they've had a shocker and don't want their grade affected.
If you're going to play that game then you also need to discount your 48/50's as well in my book.
There should be a proviso that if you start a graded shoot and you don't hand in a card and you don't have terminal equipment failure, then you should receive the equal of the lowest score of the day in your grade at the very least and preferably a big, fat zero.

Harsh I know, but the way that some people play the grades is wrong, we all know they do it, it's what you do to stop it that counts.
