I dont like the napier - It has a brass end which could damage the barrell crown and I have had 2 break on me leaving the patch in the barrel. I now use a very simple piece of orange string that we reset the knock downs with. Very strong and no crown damage. I will show you mine next time you are at Broadlands.
Take about a 5 foot length of reset string , hook the centre over a door handle ( which forms the loop) and keep twisting the 2 halves together unitl you have a halved the length ( bit like making a pigtail in a childs hair) - a little tedious but it works. Tie the loose ends together and you have 1 pull through at no cost.
