BFTA Masters 5th September 2015 at Blaenau Gwent
Dear all BFTA shooters,
here is a brief guide to the Masters for those who have not shot it before or those that need a reminder.
The Masters is open entry to any shooter with a BFTA number - cost is £6
There are tropies to 10th and cash prizes 1st-3rd
There is an Open Class with trophies 1st-3rd
The Masters consists of 2x30 target courses.
It is a feed on event. This means:
You book in and will be given a scorecard that is either white or yellow (indicating on which course you start shooting) and on it will be written a squad number.
There are 10 shooters in a squad.
Shooting will be in pairs unless there is an odd number at the end.
Squad 1s will be called at 9am.
Squad 2s will be called when the last but one pairs from squad 1s start lane 1
This process will continue until all squads have shot the course
When you have completed your first course then give in your scorecard at Stats and you will be given your next scorecard with squad number
Have lunch, a break, a kip ...
Wait for your squad to be called or join the queue (if there is one)
Using two courses at once means that there is very little hanging around at this event.
Some like a break between courses others like to shoot 60 straight.
All shooters must be booked in before 11am
This is a very enjoyable day's shooting
Many thanks to Jack Harris and Blaenau Gwent for hosting
Hope to see many of you there
