During the week I free floated my barrel and found today that I am shooting better all round again. I gained 7 points over my recent average run but more importantly, the zero didn't shift from start to finish.
Many thanks to all who previously advised me to free float the barrel, it has solved the mystery of the shifting poi.
Good to hear; the FTP is fundamentally a pretty good rifle but only after you ditch the unnecessary rubbish that AA added like the 8 clamp and the anti-tamper.
Mine also had the benefit of two missing barrel retaining bolts but I'll forgive them that.
I would also recommend the Rowan lifter with adaptor to keep the standard FTP hamster, makes those anti-aircraft shots a doodle...
