If you just have one of X type of target on a course, there's more chance of a random effect skewing the result. But repeated exposure to that type of target gives you a much better measure of the actual ability.
I agree, they do pile on the pressure but if you're shooting the worlds you don't really go expecting it to be easy and that's the difference I suppose, a lot of us are only good enough to shoot for pleasure.
