Acute angles don't test the best shots, they test how adjustable your hamster is - nothing more.
"The Authorities" haven't decided that acute angles are a good way to test the best, I get the impression that it's countries that are new to FT who don't understand what the game is about. Misinterpreting things and putting in more trick shots than skill shots.
