Every gun will have examples which have faults, which is like anything else. There's no need to expect all BSA's to have them over any other gun. Every gun is also supposedly the next wonder gun that can't miss anything, and like every other gun that isn't there's no reason to expect the BSA to be any different.
Assess it on what you want to do with it, and how well it fits that bill.
