Never easy at Byley.
You walk on the course and you feel sheltered in the dip amongst the trees. Within a couple of lanes you are shooting at targets on the edge of the trees where the wind will be hitting them from across the open fields.
You turn to go around the pools and there's always more wind than you think and the water seems to drag pellets down ( maybe wind dropping down into the dips ).
At the far end there are usually a few long targets and again the wind is coming across from the open fields on the right harder than you think.
Nice place with a free kettle and biscuits.
