A great start to the Gp season
A little GP taster for those that have not been to Avon hawks before
Firstly, fair warning, the Zero range is not huge, so arrive in plenty of time to get on the line. not actually measured it but the combination of off bag and bench zero line I would say is enough for about 20 -25 at a time.
The course is nice and traditional in many ways, mix of dark pine lanes, shooting from dark pine lanes into bright open areas or large wooded areas and some darker lanes, angles here and there with some slight elevation to some targets, nothing extreme though.
As long as the Wind is "average" it will be an enjoyable Gp. If its windy, it will make Newbury on sunday look tame
and then there is the Ponds of doom at the end of the course. If your young and fit you may well be starting out there, old crocks will get preferential lane allocation so no long walk after briefing. I'm on lane 1!
