Big Nikko range finding variations
Bought my Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50 x 60 MD in November 2014.
I believe it's commonly called a Big Nikko Mk3...it has green turrets.
Set up the ranges on a cloudy day at 10 degrees C and the range indications on my wheel have been pretty accurate and consistent all winter.
Now I'm noticing it's over ranging by about 5 M at 50 M on brightly lit targets and has thrown some confusion into my easily confused mind.
Also the image seems to snap in less obviously in a heat haze and brightly lit targets
Looking at threads I can see chat about temperature shift and chat about light intensity.
My question is this...
What are the factors that are causing this variation? Is it temperature or is it light intensity or a combination or some other factor ?
