I do like a good debate on shooting jackets

For the record it was 2006 in Poland when we discovered about twenty minutes prior to the start that we couldn't wear shooting jackets, this was down to a mis-translation of the rules into English. Anyway turned out allright for me.

Since then the WFTF rules have been tidied up a bit. They state

'Host NGB rules will apply at all Federation Championships, but may not contradict/override the WFTF Core Rules. '

Therefore shooting jackets are allowed as the WFTF rules override the host rules. Whether or not shooting jackets give an advantage over other coats for example a tight leather jacket from Next is another matter.
