Hi Don,

I've had a few Mk2s and like you say, the lock time on them is very quick anyway. I rate the Venom / V Mach work very highly but would have to say that on a MK2 you probably don't gain a great deal for the cost of a full V Glide, a decent spring and guide, a re-lube, and you're nearly there....

You would have to shoot my two TX's to appreciate how different they are, the Venom gun is a circa 1990's Venom Hunter that Steve refurbed for me a year or so ago and is soooooo smooth, and it seems to me to have a longer stroke than a std MK2. On the other hand, the V Mach gun is without doubt the quickest springer I've ever shot!! Steve's own words when i got it back were that as far as springers go, the lock time on this is as good as it gets.

Build and finish miles better than the new stuff.
