It's swings and roundabouts as the higher the scope you are effectively riding the downward curve of the pellet so reducing the clicks between ranges. But at the close end you then have to dial more as the curve is more pronounced.
The other factor which is often ignored is that the higher the scope the more care you have to take keeping the rifle perfectly vertical, any cant left/right will be magnified by the the scope height giving shots to the right if the rifle is canted left and shots go left if canted right.
