The simplest way to prevent the steyr going over the limit is to remove the thread's on the external adjuster so it won't screw in far enough, or you can put a seam weld around the threads then finish it off in a lathe. This will act as a physical stop preventing the adjuster been screwed in .
Could you also turn down a little brass collar, after measuring for say 798 fps, and thread lock it in place if you haven't got a welder?
Haven't had a Steyr for a while and can't remember if it will be possible?
