Are we suggesting that pellet sales are not price sensitive?
If you had a rig costing £2k for example, at what level would you say the pellets are too costly?
For example, travel 200 miles each way to a shoot, 400 miles at 40p is £160, add an overnight stay say £60. You've spent £220 to shoot 50 pellets without pulling the trigger. That is over £4 a shot. If it was a clay pigeon shoot and not a FT comp, you'd expect to pay 20p each for your fifty 12g shells, that is still only £10 for your ammo but it makes a tin of 500 cost £100....!
