I believe the answer is no,but, if it gets in your head that the rifle is at fault then you will shoot poorly.

The idea of HFT was to have a sport that was cost effective compared to FT and also more geared to the hunter. Hence no touching the scope once committed.

There is one guy maybe on here, who regularly scores high 50's and uses an HW 101 and a scope that was less than 100.
