perhaps it would be better if manufacturers only fit AT to the less expensive rifles.
I say that with the thoughts that the kind of people wanting to misuse an airgun would more than likely be the people who wouldn't have £1000+ to spend on an FTP 900 or Daystate.
That would then give the "minority" of more informed/target shooters the chance to set up the power levels to match pellet etc without voiding warranty.
Also bearing in mind that most of the rifles we use for target shooting are purpose built for target shooting, you would think that after spending the amount of money these companies are charging for their rifles they would give that specific market of people the benefit of the doubt and not bother fitting AT in the first place.
