Although it is an absolute offence, and you would thus be very very likely to get a criminal record, mitigation such as AT fitted by the manufacturer or on the way to the gunsmiths to have the power adjusted would likely lessen the sentence from the oft quoted 5 years as Leroy's biatch, to fines or conditional discharge.
Still a record for you, though not Mr Daystate, HW AA etc etc.
Fortunately unless you are doing something very naughty (...armed trespass) the chances of the old bill spending their budget on external forensic testing (£1000+) is pretty slim.
Hopefully we will all be fine with our 777 fps comp guns unless the police run out of better things to do.
