Default BFTA News December 2014

Dear all BFTA shooters,

The AGM was held on November 22nd 2014.

Longstanding Chairman and President, Roger Moy, stood down from the Chairman's position. Roger is presently recovering from an operation and all at the meeting wished him a speedy recovery.

The new Chairman is Phil Gee of Millride. Phil was previously the BFTA Secretary.

Neil Long stood down from the Secretary role and Shaun Shore was elected (that's me)

Details of other roles are on the attached Minutes.

The major change for 2015 is the make up of Inter Regional teams. Teams will consist of 8 shooters with 6 scores counting. Regions may enter 1 or 2 teams. (This is for a 1 year trial).

Minimum target distance is now 10 yards.

GP fee increased to 12.

Team competition fee waived.

Champs and Inters at Newbury on 11th and 12th April 2015
7 GPs. See Minutes for dates. Dates are set but some venues may change.
Masters and Showdown at Blaenau Gwent on 5th and 6th September 2015

Changes to the wording of some rules to ensure clarity and define sanctions. These will be published ahead of the new season.

There was also support for a shoot committee. This committee initially consists of {Chair, Comp Sec, Mark Bassett, Rob Farnworth and Andrew Gillott}. I will share more details of the role of the committee later. Broadly it is to prepare proposals for the AGM.

Shaun Shore
