With the budget of 500 I would go MPR and a nice scope.
Any 400/500 series will take you where you need to go. I have owned a HW100 but preferred the MPR overall, taking into consideration of ease of repair, and less to go wrong. Both when set up are good enough to win anything out there though.

As Mark said, both benefit from a better stock, but so most other standard guns.
