Well I had a go and have to say its not as easy as it looks! Spent a whole day - with curing time etc. and had to strip it all back in the end. Will have another go but the mix is important as had uncured pockets in the deeper sections - so overnight cure is a must I feel - as is putting in an excessive amount of gunk to ensure it presses out of all gaps and has no voids.

Funnily enough the bit I was most worried about ensuring the action releases easily was the least of my issues, Kiwi neutral shoe polish does the job - thin smear all over let it dry for at least 10mins and buff it up then a second coat and do the same. Mechanical locks are harder to avoid - upside down pyramid principle applies everything on the action as to be small to large from the bottom up or parallel - sounds silly but easy to c""k up!

Final bit of advice if a novice like me or unsure practice on a cheap stock and action if poss - not your pride and joy as I did duh.............!
Kind Regards
