You aint daft if you dont know,but if you dont ask thats another thing entirely☺
Unless you are very very very lucky (lottery winning kind of lucky) your new scope will need zeroing as usual. All scope/rifle combos do,even if you take one off an existing set up and put it back on(say after having work done to the gun) it will need checking and or rezeroing. Thats why we have zero ranges at gps etc for checking after transporting.
Side wheel parrallax works just the same as your front parrallax scope,just using the sidewheel☺
